Charles King

Charles King is an accomplished engineering professional with extensive experience in the field of Protection Systems and Network Engineering. Currently serving as the Manager of Secondary Systems Design at Powerlink Queensland since August 2012, Charles has held various roles including Protection Engineer and Team Leader for Protection Systems. Key responsibilities include delivering high-quality protection designs, supervising graduate engineers, and managing project milestones effectively. Previously, Charles worked at Essential Energy as a Network Protection Engineer, where responsibilities encompassed mentoring engineers, conducting protection setting calculations, and leading investigations into network faults. Earlier experience includes a role as a Protection Systems Engineer at AREVA T&D, where Charles managed significant contracts and ensured compliance with technical specifications. Charles holds a Bachelor of Engineering in Electrical Engineering from the University of Wollongong and has completed additional courses related to power protection and fault calculations.
