Jimmy Fleming

Jimmy Fleming has worked in the publishing industry for over thirty-five years. Jimmy began their career in 1983 as a Sales Representative for Bedford/St. Martin's. Jimmy was later promoted to Senior Sales Representative and Regional Manager. In 1996, they moved to Houghton Mifflin Harcourt Publishing Company as an English Specialist. In 1998, they joined Bedford/St. Martin's of Macmillan Learning as an English Composition Specialist. In this role, they led development of sales strategies, created strategic takeaway plans, created sales plans for custom publishing bids, and established partnerships with key decision-makers. In 2019, they joined PowerNotes as the Director of Business Development. In this role, they are collaborating with librarians, teachers, and directors to develop features in PowerNotes to enhance research and writing.

Jimmy Fleming attended Union College (KY) from 1974 to 1976, where they studied English Language and Literature, General. Jimmy then attended the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill from 1976 to 1978, graduating with a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in English Language and Literature/Letters. In 1982, they attended the University of Denver's Publishing Institute for Graduate Studies.
