Jez Bell

Jez has 30 years of experience in the music industry and has been PPL’s Chief Licensing Officer for five years. Before joining PPL, Jez was Chief Executive of rara Media Group Limited, which operated rara.com, an on-demand music streaming service operating in 31 countries across Europe, the Americas and Asia Pacific. Leading rara, Jez launched Europe’s first fully on-demand direct to car music streaming service in six major European markets in partnership with BMW.

Prior to that, Jez was Chief Content Officer at Omnifone, a business-to-business provider of music streaming services for consumer electronics vendors, ISPs, automotive and mobile companies. Before that he worked for many years at PRS for Music, holding a number of executive roles across the organisation including leading PRS’ Online, Mobile and Broadcast commercial strategy, licensing and negotiations with key partners including the BBC, ITV, Sky, Apple, YouTube and iTunes.
