Dr. Abubakr Abdulgadir joined PQSecure as a Cryptographic Research Engineer focusing on secure and efficient implementation of post-quantum cryptography. Prior to that he was a postdoctoral fellow by NSF/IPERF program. He received his Ph.D. from George Mason University (GMU) in the area of secure implementations of lightweight and post-quantum algorithms resistant to side-channel attacks. During his time at GMU, Abubakr served as a member of the Cryptographic Engineering Research Group (CERG) and participated in the development and benchmarking of several cryptographic candidates in several cryptographic competitions. Abubakr’s previous experience includes software development and university teaching.
