Shawn Knopp, PhD, MBA

Shawn Knopp, PhD, MBA has over 20 years of work experience in the pharmaceutical and medical device industries. Shawn began their career in 1999 as a Staff Scientist at Wyeth Biotech, followed by a role as a Senior Principal Scientist at DSM Pharmaceuticals in 2002. In 2004, they became a Principal Consultant for Product and Business Development at DSM. In 2005, Knopp worked as a Project Manager for Program Management at Baxter Healthcare. From 2006 to 2009, they were the Director of Product Development and Support at Stiefel Laboratories. In 2010, they became an Assistant Professor at Sullivan University College of Pharmacy. In 2016, Knopp worked as a Regulatory Advisor at Pearl Pathways, where they provided senior project management oversight for complex regulatory/quality/IT/clinical life science client projects. Shawn is currently the VP of Product for Pharmaceuticals and Medical Devices at Prasaga.

Shawn Knopp holds a PhD in Industrial Pharmacy / Pharmaceutics from Purdue University, which they obtained from 1995 to 1999. Shawn also holds an MBA from Elon University - Martha and Spencer Love School of Business, which they obtained from 2008 to 2010. In addition, they completed a Management Consulting course at Indiana University - Kelley School of Business from 2009 to 2010. Finally, they obtained a B.S. in Chemical Engineering from the University of Louisville from 1988 to 1993.
