Chethan Jujjavarapu, PhD has an extensive work experience spanning from 2011 to 2021. In 2011, they began as an Undergraduate Research Assistant at UC Santa Cruz in Dr. E.C.'s lab. In 2013, they became a Beta Cell Regeneration Intern at NGM Biopharmaceuticals, where they performed in vivo biology procedures such as ELISA, IV Injections, Pancreas Dissections, and Serum Collection. In 2014, they took on the role of Tutor at Pleasanton Tutoring. In 2015, they held two positions at UCSF, one as a Junior Specialist and one as a Research Assistant. As a Junior Specialist, they created an automated program to perform meta-analysis on publicly available cytometry data. As a Research Assistant, they were a member of the newly established Institute for Computational Health Sciences (ICHS) Team led by Professor Atul Butte. In 2016, they began their PhD candidacy at the University of Washington, where they applied machine learning to health data to characterize patients with lower back pain and predict their clinical outcomes. In 2021, they began working at Prealize Health as a Data Scientist II and a Machine Learning Engineer.
Chethan Jujjavarapu, PhD has an education history that includes a Doctor of Philosophy from the University of Washington in Biomedical and Health Informatics: Advanced Data Science, which they received in 2021. Chethan also holds two Bachelor of Science degrees from the University of California, Santa Cruz, one in Biomolecular Engineering with Honors which they received in 2013, and one in Molecular, Cellular, and Developmental Biology which they also received in 2013.
