Brian Ashton

Brian Ashton, B.A., CIP, is a seasoned insurance professional with extensive experience in commercial lines underwriting. Currently serving as a Senior Specialist at Premier since February 2016, Brian leads and mentors a team of Trades and Protection Services underwriters across Canada, focusing on product development and the coordination of daily operations. Previous roles include Assistant Director of Specialty Commercial Lines and Commercial and Professional Lines Underwriter at Premier, where responsibilities encompassed managing underwriters and developing a diverse commercial insurance portfolio. Prior experience includes positions at Travelers Canada, where Brian served as an Account Executive and held various underwriting roles, as well as a Claims Assistant at ING Insurance and a temporary data entry role at TD. Brian holds a Bachelor’s Degree in History from King's University College and a Chartered Insurance Professional designation from the Insurance Institute of Canada.
