Ruben Nieves

Ruben Nieves is a seasoned technology professional with extensive experience in software engineering and leadership roles across various companies. Currently, Ruben serves as Principal Engineer at PPLSI since August 2022 and Chief Technology Officer at Telesto Ventures LLC, leading technological direction and team management for various e-commerce products since February 2020. As the owner of TopBalance Software, Ruben engages in passion projects, while prior roles include Senior Software Engineer at GLG, Staff Engineer 1 at VMware—where leadership of the Mobile Innovation Team and development of VMware's Email Notification Service were key contributions—and iOS Team Lead at Dell, focusing on BYOD solutions. Ruben began a career in software engineering at Tango Software and worked as an Automation Engineer at Invision Engineering Corp. Educationally, Ruben holds a Master of Science degree in Computer Software Engineering from The University of Texas at Austin and a Bachelor of Science in Electrical/Computer Engineering from Universidad de Puerto Rico Mayaguez Campus.
