Steven Abney

Steven Abney has extensive experience in financial and accounting roles in the real estate industry. Steven has been the CFO at Prescott Realty Group since 2008, overseeing finance, accounting, banking, treasury, and risk management functions. Steven also serves as an advisor at AdvisoryCloud starting from 2020. Prior to their current position, they were the CFO at American Realty Investors, Inc and Transcontinental Realty Investors from 2005 to 2008. Before that, they held the role of Chief Accounting Officer at CRT Properties, Inc. from 2001 to 2005, and CFO at Konover and Associates from 1997 to 2001.

Steven Abney completed their Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) in Accounting from the Florida Atlantic University - College of Business between 1976 and 1978. Steven then pursued an MBA program at the University of Connecticut from 1998 to 2000. Additionally, they hold certifications as a Chartered Global Management Accountant (CGMA) from the American Institute of CPAs and Chartered Institute of Management Accountants, and is a member of the Texas Society of CPA's (TSCPA) and the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants.
