Evan Rusackas

Evan Rusackas has a long history of work experience. Evan began their career in 1999 as a Production Artist for CSU Monterey Bay, followed by a role as Graphic Designer for California State University, Monterey Bay. In 2001, they became Art Director for MI Media, where they designed full layouts, art directed, and wrote product reviews. From 2004 to 2015, they worked as Owner/Partner/Designer for Definition, LLC, where they designed UI/UX for websites and mobile web applications. In 2013, they co-founded Beer Citizen, where they were responsible for concept development, UI/UX design, desktop and mobile prototyping and template development, and front-end development. From 2019 to 2020, they worked as Sr. Engineering Manager and Frontend Lead for Preset, managing a global team of software engineers and designing and building the company's SaaS product. Currently, they are an Apache Superset PMC for The Apache Software Foundation.

Evan Rusackas began their education in 1998 at California State University-San Bernardino, studying Computer Science. In 1999, they transferred to California State University, Monterey Bay, where they earned a BS in Telecommunications, Multimedia, and Applied Computing in 2001. Evan also holds a National BJCP Beer Judge certification from the BJCP.
