Digital Librarian And Content Specialist at Presidio Trust

John Bertland has a diverse work experience that spans multiple companies and roles. In 2008, they worked at the Thoreau Center for Sustainability as a Librarian, where they played a significant role in establishing a library focused on sustainability. John'sresponsibilities included managing technical systems, providing reference services, and conducting marketing activities. From 2011 to 2012, they joined Tides as a Records and Data Specialist, where they utilized their skills in managing records and data. John then transitioned to the Presidio Trust, where they held various positions. From 2011 to 2012, they worked as a Digital Asset Management specialist, and from 2012 to 2014, they contributed to the Heritage Programs Content Research and development. In 2014, they briefly worked as a Consultant for Presidio Visitor Center Research and Development. Since 2015, they have been working as a Digital Librarian and Content Specialist at Presidio Trust, where they oversee library resources and services, including cataloging and classification, managing the digital image collection, and rights management for publications and public uses.

John Bertland completed their Bachelor of Arts degree in European History from the University of Pennsylvania, where they attended from 1988 to 1992. John further pursued their education by obtaining a Master's degree in Library and Information Science from San Jose State University, attending from 2008 to 2009.
