Simon Neighbour has extensive experience in environmental health, currently serving as the Environmental Health Manager at Preston City Council since October 2000. Responsibilities expanded in June 2019 to include management of combined Food Safety and Health and Safety teams, overseeing a range of areas such as premises inspections, infectious disease control, and pest control. Simon has effectively halved the number of non-compliant food businesses through a cooperative inspection approach and application of ISO:9001 auditing skills. In addition, Simon operates as a Sole Trader under Green Badger, providing training in ethical influencing and non-directive coaching to local governments and educational establishments. Previous experience includes serving as an Environmental Health Officer at Wyre Council, focusing on food hygiene inspections. Simon holds a B.Sc. (Hons) in Environmental Health from Leeds Beckett University and a DMS from the University of Central Lancashire.
