Cheryl Zabala is a seasoned compliance professional with extensive experience in the investment management sector. Currently serving as Chief Compliance Officer at Pretium since June 2021, Cheryl oversees compliance for a specialized investment manager with over $50 billion in assets under management, focusing on real estate and corporate debt. Prior roles include Deputy Chief Compliance Officer and Regulatory Counsel at MSD Partners, where regulatory advice was provided to a SEC registered investment adviser and a family office, as well as Chief Compliance Officer for The Carlyle Group's Emerging Sovereign Group, managing compliance for hedge funds with approximately $4 billion in AUM. Cheryl began their career as Compliance Officer and Counsel at Fortress Investment Group, supporting compliance efforts for a firm with over $50 billion in AUM across various investment strategies.
