Björn Granvik

Björn Granvik has a diverse work experience spanning over several companies and roles. Björn is currently working as the CTO at Prevas AB since 2022. Prior to this, Björn held various positions at Softhouse Consulting from 2015 to 2022, including Consultant Unit Manager, Team Lead, and Main Competence Manager. Björn was responsible for managing teams, project management, and competence development. Björn also worked as a Senior Consultant, Team Lead, and Main Competence Manager at Softhouse Consulting.

In 2017, Björn worked as a Scrum Master at Talent Without Borders, where they facilitated learning and integration for immigrants looking for employment in Sweden. Björn also had a brief stint as an Acting Business Unit Manager and Senior Consultant at tretton37 AB in 2015.

Björn has been an active participant in the tech community as well. Björn served as a Board Member and Manager at Foo Café from 2013 to 2015, where they contributed to knowledge sharing initiatives. Additionally, they were the Chairman and User Group Leader for the Malmö group of Javaforum from 2005 to 2011.

Earlier in their career, Björn held roles as the Director of Engineering at Neo Technology from 2011 to 2013 and as the CTO at Jayway from 2000 to 2011. Björn has also worked as a Developer and Architect at Linné Data/Cell Network from 1995 to 2000, where they led competence development efforts.

Björn Granvik obtained their M.Sc. degree in Computer Science and Engineering from The Faculty of Engineering at Lund University. Björn completed their education in this field from 1984 to 1990.

In addition to their formal education, Björn Granvik has also obtained several certifications. These include being a Certified GDQ consultant from GDQ Associates, which was obtained in March 2018. Björn is also a Certified ScrumMaster accredited by ScrumAlliance, achieved in November 2011. Björn is also a Neo4j Certified Developer, certified by Neo Technology in October 2008.

Furthermore, they have attained multiple certifications from Sun, including being a Sun Certified Web Component Developer for the Java EE Platform since May 2005. Björn holds the title of Sun Certified Developer for the Java 2 Platform since May 2003, and also earned the title of Sun Certified Programmer for the Java 2 Platform, Standard Edition 5.0 in May 2001.
