Blake Young

Blake Young has a strong background in engineering and product development. Blake currently serves as the Director of Engineering at Primary Weapons Systems since October 2019. Prior to this, Blake held the same position at GEMTECH Silencers from January 2013 to April 2019, where they were responsible for designing and developing sound suppressors for firearms. Blake also managed a team and ensured products met engineering requirements. Blake's experience also includes working as a New Product Development Specialist at TechHelp Idaho - Solutions for Manufacturers from January 2009 to December 2012, where they designed parts for various manufacturing processes and conducted engineering analysis. Blake began their career as a student intern at BSU/TechHelp - New Product Development Lab from August 2007 to January 2009.

Blake Young attended Boise State University from 2004 to 2009, where they obtained a degree in Mechanical Engineering with a focus on Product Development. In terms of additional certifications, they received training in Fundamentals of GD&T in 2018 from Effective Training Inc., an SAE International Company. In 2016, they acquired certification in Solidworks Flow Simulation from GoEngineer. Blake also became a Glock Armorer in 2015 through GLOCK, Inc. Additionally, Blake has certifications in Certified SolidWorks Professional from Dassault Systèmes and Solidworks Simulation from Quest Integration, although specific dates are not provided for the latter two.
