Jeff Symes

As Senior Vice President, Chief Accounting Officer and Treasurer with Cousins Properties, Jeff Symes is responsible for all accounting and treasury functions within the organization and all internal and public-company reporting.

Jeff joined Cousins in February 2020. Prior to Cousins, Jeff was with FelCor Lodging Trust, a public hospitality REIT, for 16 years. His most recent role with FelCor was Senior Vice President, Chief Accounting Officer and Treasurer. At FelCor, Jeff assisted in navigating the company through the 2008 credit crisis as well the ultimate successful sale of the company in 2017.

Most recently, Jeff served as Senior Vice President and Chief Accounting Office for Learfield IMG College, a collegiate sports marketing company. Prior to FelCor, Jeff worked with KPMG LLP for 13 years, including two years in the firm’s national Department of Professional Practice.
