David Gates

David Gates has extensive experience in the field of physics spanning over 28 years. David began their career as an Associate Research Physicist at Culham Laboratory in 1993, where they served until 1997. David then moved on to Princeton Plasma Physics Laboratory (PPPL), where they held different roles from Staff Research Physicist to Managing Physicist. From 2022 to present, Gates serves as the Chief Technology Officer at Princeton Stellarators, a company that they joined after leaving PPPL.

David Gates pursued their higher education starting with a Bachelor of Science degree in Physics and Mathematics at the University of Wisconsin-Madison from 1981 to 1985. Later, they attended Columbia University, where they completed their Master of Science, M. Phil, and Ph.D. in Applied Physics, spanning from 1986 to 1993.
