Kristian Hoelscher

Kristian Hoelscher is an experienced researcher with a robust background in political science and development studies. Currently serving as the Research Director at PRIO since July 2022, Kristian has also held the position of Senior Researcher at the Peace Research Institute Oslo since 2014. Prior roles include Doctoral Researcher at the University of Oslo from 2010 to 2014 and Research Assistant at PRIO from 2008 to 2014. Educational qualifications include a Doctor of Philosophy in Political Science from the University of Oslo, a Master's degree in Population and Development from The London School of Economics and Political Science, and dual Bachelor's degrees in Psychological Science (Hons.) and Business Management from The University of Queensland.
