Andy Ferguson is the VP of Financial Planning & Business Intelligence at Prisma Health. Andy has over 20 years of experience in the healthcare industry, with a focus on financial leadership and performance management.
Andy began their career in healthcare finance at Columbia St. Mary's, where they led all finance and revenue cycle functions for a $750M integrated network of acute and non-acute care facilities and physician clinics throughout greater Milwaukee. Andy was responsible for eliminating >$20M in annual expense through multiple improvement initiatives, and led the finance team during the replacement of the legacy finance, human resource and supply chain information systems.
In 2013, Andy joined Ascension Health as the Senior Director of Performance Excellence. In this role, they co-led the development of a multi-disciplinary program to address clinical process improvement, and served as the program driver and integrator between Finance, Operations, Clinical and IT. Andy was responsible for business case development, target setting, budget and performance management, and delivered over $100M in value in two years. Andy also led the development of a physician level, cost and quality Executive Information System (EIS) Dashboard designed to identify variation in care and implement changes to improve quality, satisfaction and cost.
In addition to their work with Ascension Health, Andy has also been responsible for leading the strategic planning process for the Behavioral and Mental Health Service line, including current state analysis and implementation of both short and long-term strategies including evaluation of third-
