Katherine G. Stephens, PhD, has been with Prisma Health since 1998 and currently is the system vice president for Medical Education and Research. She also serves as the designated institutional official for the Prisma Health/University of South Carolina School of Medicine graduate medical education programs. Her previous experience includes leadership roles in human resources, organization development, public relations and managed care business development. Stephens is a past president of the Association for Hospital Medical Education and is a volunteer site visitor for the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education. She is a past chair of the South Carolina Wildlife Federation and a recipient of its F. Bartow Culp Distinguished Service Award. She holds degrees from Clemson University (BS) and the University of South Carolina (MBA and PhD) and is a fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives. She is a faculty member in the School of Medicine at the University of South Carolina.
