David Chase Childers has worked in a variety of roles in the software engineering field since 2008. From 2008 to 2009, they worked as a Software Developer Intern for Kinetic.theTechnologyAgency and Yum! Brands. In 2010, they were a Graduate Student Assistant for Resources for Academic Achievement at University of Louisville and an Information Technology Services for Koch Corporation. From 2011 to 2014, they worked as a Software Engineer for Intel Corporation. From 2014 to 2016, they were a Software Development Engineer for Amazon. From 2016 to 2017, they were a Software Engineer for Amazon Web Services. Finally, from 2017 to 2020, they were a Software Engineer for Airbnb and PrizePool. During their work experience, they have lead infrastructure vision and prioritization, built and maintained Kubernetes clusters, utilized horizontal pod autoscalers and node auto scaling groups, advised product teams on observability and reliability, created guidelines for production readiness reviews, interfaced with hardware devices, created canaries for hardware loadbalancers, owned and contributed to an Ingestion Portal, contributed to design and architecture decisions, developed algorithms to validate and test hardware architectures, lead cross-site trainings, managed student math tutors, lead math review seminars, innovated and developed internal web applications, and worked on web application development.

David Chase Childers obtained a Bachelor of Science in Computer Engineering and Computer Science from the University of Louisville in 2011, after having started their studies there in 2006. David Chase then went on to earn a Master of Engineering in the same field from the same university in 2010.
