Chris Goodrum

Chris Goodrum has extensive work experience in various leadership roles in the sports and youth development fields. Chris is currently the National Director of Basketball Operations at Pro Skills Basketball, where they provide leadership for all PSB City markets and ensures a quality experience for families. Chris also serves as the Charlotte Director for the organization.

Prior to their role at Pro Skills Basketball, Chris worked as an Assistant Varsity Men's Basketball Coach at Charlotte Country Day School. Chris also served as a Board Member and Treasurer at the Noah Strong Foundation, where they contributed to improving the quality of life for pediatric cancer patients and their families.

Chris has a long history with the YMCA of Greater Charlotte, where they held multiple roles, including Associate Executive Director, Assistant Resident Camp Director, Hemby Program Director, School Age Program Director, Afterschool Director, and Afterschool/Day Camp Assistant Director. In these positions, they were responsible for program development, staff supervision, budget management, and ensuring the safety and well-being of program participants.

From 2017 to 2019, Chris served as the Senior Director of Youth Development at Steele Creek YMCA, overseeing various departments and providing leadership and strategic direction to create a cohesive and consistent program experience.

Chris Goodrum attended Appalachian State University from 2000 to 2003, where they studied Child Psychology. In addition to their formal education, Chris Goodrum holds several certifications. Chris obtained the certification for "Intro to Leading Others" from the YMCA of the USA (National Resource Office) in January 2019. In April 2013, they received the Stewards of Children Facilitator Certification from Darkness to Light. Chris also obtained the Day Camp Director Trainer certification from the YMCA in January 2013. Furthermore, Chris Goodrum is a Gold Certified Coach accredited by USA Basketball since February 2019. Finally, they acquired the certification as a CPR/AED and First Aid Instructor from the American Safety and Health Institute in September 2011.
