Derek King

Derek King has a diverse work experience in the field of software development. In 2014, they worked as a Software Development Intern at Volar Video, where they were responsible for designing and creating an automated testing program. Derek implemented various UI and function tests to ensure the software's functionality before release.

From 2015 to 2017, Derek worked as a Software Development Intern at BlueFrame Technology, gaining valuable experience in software development.

In 2017, Derek joined Lockmasters, Inc. as a Software Developer. During their tenure there, they developed modifications for the company's eCommerce platform, including pricing, order placement, order history, and customer registration. Derek worked extensively with multiple third-party REST APIs to integrate them into the platform. Derek also handled tasks outside of programming, such as server creation and maintenance, user setup, networking troubleshooting, and maintaining backup strategies. Derek regularly performed SQL queries for data maintenance and modifications.

Currently, Derek works at Pro-Vision Video Systems as a Software Developer.

Derek King received their high school education at Lexington Christian Academy High School, where they obtained their High School Diploma in the years 2008 to 2012. Following this, they pursued their higher education at the University of Kentucky from 2012 to 2016, where they obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science. Additionally, during the same period, they also completed another Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering from the University of Kentucky.
