Tim Bonner Acas

Tim Bonner, ACAS, has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries. Tim is currently working as an Actuarial Analyst at ProAssurance since November 2021. Prior to this, they served as an Operations Research Analyst at LinQuest from December 2020 to November 2021.

From December 2013 to December 2020, Tim worked as a Managing Actuary at Hallmark Financial Services Inc. During this time, they played a crucial role in analyzing the $100M annual written premium commercial auto segment. Tim provided monthly reporting with commentary to business leadership, including the CEO. Tim also designed and built an account level Excel workbook that implemented a predictive model on the existing pricing system, enabling underwriters to assess differentials.

Before joining Hallmark Financial Services, Tim worked at Texas State University from September 2009 to December 2013 as a Lecturer. Tim taught various courses, including Business Algebra, Calculus I, Calculus II, and Analysis I. Tim also conducted research and had two articles accepted by peer-reviewed journals. From September 2003 to July 2009, Tim served as a Graduate Student - Mathematics at the University of Florida. Tim's early professional experience includes working as a Consultant at Quorum Business Solutions from July 2001 to April 2002. In this role, they converted reports from FoxPro to Crystal Reports, wrote SQL queries, and modified SQL procedures.

Tim Bonner, ACAS, completed their education with a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical Physics from Rice University. Tim attended Rice University from 1997 to 2001. Later, they pursued further studies and earned a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) degree in Mathematics from the University of Florida, where they were enrolled from 2003 to 2009.
