David Green

David Green has a diverse work experience spanning various industries. David is currently the Head of Trade Facilitation at Producers Trust, where they are involved in building a network of agricultural producers and developing market linkage software. Previously, David worked as a Substitute Teacher at Oakland Unified School District and as the Head of Producer Experience at Producers Market. David also served as the Director of Sales and Business Development at Michoacan Organics, where they introduced a family farming operation specializing in sustainable ecological practices to the US market. Additionally, David has experience in sales and product development at California Soils, and worked as an Engineer and Deckhand on Tugboats, Container Ships, and Bulk Carrier Ships. David was also involved in business development and operations at Sky Vegetables, a sustainable food growing start-up. David has maritime experience as a Captain and Deckhand at the San Francisco Bar Pilots and as a Marine Technician, Medical Officer, and Plumber in the National Science Foundation's Antarctic Research Program. David also served as an Educator, Mate, Engineer, and Medical Officer on sail training vessels at the Sea Education Association.

David Green completed their Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Virginia Tech in the years 1987 to 1992. In 2002 to 2003, they obtained a Certificate in Massage Therapy/Therapeutic Massage from Nature Care College. The following year, from 2003 to 2004, they received a Certificate in Permaculture Design from Djanbung Gardens. In 2005 to 2006, they pursued a Certificate in Sustainable Agriculture/Health from Esalen Institute. During the same year, they also earned a Certificate in Raw Food Preparation from the Tree of Life Rejuvenation Center. In the year 2000, they obtained a Certificate in EMT/Wilderness EMT from SOLO Wilderness Medicine.
