Jonathan Friedman

Jonathan Friedman has a strong background in finance and operations, with extensive experience in executive roles. Jonathan is currently serving as the Chief Financial Officer at Proenza Schouler since November 2018. Prior to this, they were the Chief Operating Financial Officer and Interim CEO at IPPOLITA from June 2013 to July 2018.

Jonathan also held the positions of EVP Chief Administrative & Financial Officer at Betsey Johnson from January 2008 to September 2012, and SVP Chief Financial Officer at Modell's Sporting Goods from July 2005 to October 2006.

Before their work in the retail industry, Jonathan spent a significant amount of time at Toys "R" Us, where they held the role of SVP Chief Financial Officer USA from November 1982 to August 2004. Additionally, they served as SVP at Toys R Us from 1990 to 2000.

Jonathan's career began at Touche Ross, where they worked as an Audit Supervisor from September 1977 to November 1982. Overall, their experience spans over four decades in various leadership positions within the finance and operations field.

Jonathan Friedman attended Buffalo State University from 1973 to 1977, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting. During the same period, they also studied at the University at Buffalo, earning another Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting.
