Manuel Socop

Manuel Socop is an experienced civil engineer with a strong background in project development and management, particularly in the Greenfield sector. Currently serving as an independent consultant since March 2018, Manuel specializes in the development of infrastructure projects, including a private road project spanning 30 kilometers. Previously, Manuel held the position of Development Manager at Grupo Secacao, focusing on the development and acquisition of hydropower projects under 20 MW. Additional experience includes roles in engineering and project management at notable companies such as Enel Guatemala, Unión Fenosa, Grupo Terra, Hidroxacbal, and Ibertec-Soluziona Ingenieria. Manuel Socop obtained a degree in Civil Engineering from Universidad de San Carlos de Guatemala between 1990 and 1998.
