Kalpani Ranasinghe

Kalpani Ranasinghe has a diverse work experience spanning different roles and industries. Kalpani started their career as a Trainee Software Engineer at 99x in September 2018. Kalpani then worked as a Secretary at the Sustainable Education Foundation from April 2018 to December 2018. In 2017, they participated in the Rails Girls Summer of Code program as a Student Software Developer.

In 2020, they rejoined 99x as a Software Engineer, where they worked on the Hatteland (Rambase Cloud ERP) project in Norway. Kalpani contributed to the development of core primitives in the new runtime environment of the ERP system, implemented a development proxy using gRPC, and was a member of multiple innovatives at 99x. For their contributions, they received the 99x Change Maker Award in 2021. Kalpani continued working on the project in 2022 as a Senior Software Engineer, where they developed extensions/plugins for VSCode and CLI tools and added XML protocol support to the IO server.

In 2021, they briefly worked as an Online External Tutor at the Open University of Sri Lanka. Currently, they are working as a Back End Developer at Profilence, starting in 2023.
