Kara Svenson

Associate Director, Retail Media (pmx Commerce, Publicis Groupe) at Profitero

Kara Svenson has had a diverse range of work experiences, starting in 2014 as a Data Optimization Intern at ORC International. Kara then held roles as a Marketing Co-op at TEMPOE and a Marketing Communications Co-op at Intrinzic. In 2015, they served as President of the UC College Panhellenic Council, overseeing sorority activity and representing 1,500 sorority women. Kara continued to gain marketing experience with internships at the UC Center for Entrepreneurship and Commercialization and POSSIBLE, where they were a Strategy Intern, providing strategic insights and leading a project featured in Ad Age and Ad Week. Kara then joined Beekeeper Marketing as a Marketing Coordinator, followed by roles as an eCommerce Associate Marketing Manager and an eCommerce Marketing Manager. Kara later joined CommerceIQ, where they served as a Customer Success Manager and a Customer Success Associate Director in advertising. In 2023, they joined HIMALAYA WELLNESS as an eCommerce Marketing Manager for Amazon, and they are currently working as an Associate Director of Retail Media for Profitero within the PMX Commerce, Publicis Groupe.

Kara Svenson holds a Bachelor of Business Administration (B.B.A.) degree in Marketing and Entrepreneurship from the University of Cincinnati Carl H. Lindner College of Business. Kara also obtained certifications in Profitero Certified from Profitero and Retail Media Platform Certification from Criteo in June 2022 and 2023, respectively.
