Lloyd Young FCCA FMAAT has extensive work experience in the financial and accounting field. Lloyd began their career in 1997 as a Trainee/Junior Accountant at Burton & Jackson Chartered Accountants, where they progressed to a Semi-Senior role. Lloyd handled various tasks such as processing invoices, completing working papers, and finalizing accounts, as well as providing client training on computerized accounting programs.

After leaving Burton & Jackson in 2001, Lloyd joined Knowles Warwick Chartered Accountants where they continued to work as a Semi-Senior Accountant/Auditor. In this role, they were responsible for preparing accounts, conducting audits, and managing personal and company tax computations and returns. Lloyd also became an expert in Sage software and provided support to clients and colleagues.

In 2004, Lloyd moved to Hart Shaw Chartered Accountants and Business Advisers as a Semi-Senior Accountant/Auditor. Lloyd specialized in limited company accounts preparation and audits, as well as assisting other departments with VAT work and management accounts.

In 2006, Lloyd joined Glover & Co Chartered Accountants as a Senior Accountant/Auditor, where they worked on accounts preparation from incomplete manual records to final tax returns. Lloyd also provided support to clients and staff with Sage-related issues.

During the same year, Lloyd also worked at Barber Harrison & Platt as a Senior Accountant/Auditor, with a focus on limited company statutory accounts preparation and audits. Lloyd was frequently called upon to assist clients and staff with Sage-related queries.

In 2010, Lloyd made their first move from practice to industry and joined MPS Care Group Ltd as the Group Finance Director. Lloyd managed a finance team and oversaw accounting functions for the group, including management information, financial reports, and statutory accounts.

In 2016, Lloyd took on the role of Group Financial Director at Progressive Care Limited, where they worked closely with the owner on formulating strategy and long-term plans. Lloyd also prepared funding proposals and associated forecasts to support these plans.

In the same year, Lloyd also held the position of Group Financial Director at GDMA Group Limited.

Throughout their career, Lloyd has demonstrated strong leadership skills, expertise in finance and accounting, and a proactive approach to building strong finance teams and implementing effective controls and processes.
