Donald Walton

Donald Walton is an experienced Lead Application Developer currently at Progressive Insurance, involved in significant projects such as migrating data from Hadoop to AWS and leading the Analytic Ecosystem Development team, which focuses on companywide data ingestion into Hadoop and Microsoft's Parallel Data Warehouse. With a strong background in various database technologies including Oracle, DB2, SQLServer, and Microsoft PDW, Donald has held multiple developer roles at Progressive Insurance since 2003, as well as positions at Eaton Corporation and General Electric, where responsibilities included developing and maintaining critical systems. Donald's early career included development roles at Lincoln Electric and Prescott Ball and Turben. Education was completed at ICM School of Business.
