Mark Scott

Mark Scott is an experienced data science professional currently serving as Director of Data Science at Progressive Leasing since April 2019. Previously, Mark held multiple roles at American Credit Acceptance from September 2014 to March 2019, culminating as Senior Data Science Manager, where responsibilities included leading the Advanced Modeling product team and creating machine learning strategies for credit risk and delinquency forecasting. Mark's earlier positions involved developing analytic strategies and machine learning models for servicing and collections, and leading change efforts as a Senior Statistician. Prior to this, experience included work as a Professional Poker Manager and Professional Poker Player, alongside a graduate teaching assistantship at the University of South Carolina, where Mark educated undergraduates in statistics. Mark holds a Master's Degree in Statistics from the University of South Carolina and a Bachelor's Degree in Mathematics from Bentley University.
