Vismay Thakkar

Vismay Thakkar has extensive experience in technology leadership roles. Vismay worked at Progressive Leasing as the Vice President of Technology starting in 2023. Prior to that, they served as the Vice President of Technology at Backcountry.com from 2020 to 2023, where they were responsible for modernizing infrastructure and data platforms. Before that, Thakkar held various positions at Gap Inc., including Head of Infrastructure & Operations, Senior Director of Operations, Director IT, Sr. Manager IT, and Lead Web Analyst. During their time at Gap Inc., they managed global support teams, led infrastructure projects, and oversaw budgets. Thakkar also worked at GSS America from 2005 to 2007.

Vismay Thakkar completed their Bachelor of Engineering (B.E) in Electronics from The Maharaja Sayajirao University of Baroda from 1999 to 2003. Vismay then pursued a Master of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from the Illinois Institute of Technology from 2003 to 2005.
