Aleena Cherian

Aleena Cherian, PharmD, CHES, has extensive work experience in the pharmaceutical and medical field. Aleena is currently serving as the SVP, Director of Medical Strategy & Scientific Services at ProHealth | An IPG Health Company, where they have been employed since 2019. Prior to this, they held the position of VP, Director of Medical and Scientific Affairs at the same company. Aleena has also worked as Adjunct Faculty at Temple University starting in 2023 and as Affiliate Clinical Faculty at St. John's University College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences in 2018.

In the past, Aleena has held various roles at pharmaceutical and healthcare companies. Aleena worked as a Medical Strategy Director at ProHealth, an FCB Health Network Company from 2018 to 2019, and as a Medical Director from 2016 to 2018. Aleena also served as an Associate Medical Director at Trio, An FCB Health Company from 2015 to 2016 and at ICC Lowe from 2014 to 2015.

Additionally, Aleena has experience as a Staff Pharmacist at Burke Rehabilitation Center from 2014 to 2015. Aleena has worked as an Associate Medical Director at Print Press Express from 2014 to 2015 and as a Freelance Graphic Designer from 2012 to 2015 at the same company. Aleena started their career as a Pharmacy Intern at CVS Caremark Corporation from 2011 to 2012.

Furthermore, they have undertaken research intern and co-investigator roles at NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital/Weill Cornell Medical Center from 2013 to 2014. Aleena's diverse background includes expertise in medical strategy, pharmaceutical research, clinical pharmacy, and graphic design.

Aleena Cherian holds a Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.) degree from St. John's University. Aleena also has a Master of Arts (MA) degree in Health Education from Teachers College, Columbia University. Aleena has additional certifications as a Certified Health Education Specialist (CHES) from the National Commission for Health Education Credentialing, Inc. Aleena is also a licensed pharmacist certified by the New York State Education Department. Additionally, they hold a certification in Pharmacy-Based Immunization Delivery from the American Pharmacists Association.
