Courtney Kemp has a diverse work experience in the field of social impact and economic development. Courtney began their career as a Summer Research Analyst at SVT Group in 2016. Courtney later joined the Middlebury Institute of International Studies at Monterey as a Strategic Initiatives Advisor for the Center for Social Impact Learning in 2015.
In 2016, Courtney returned to SVT Group as a Community Impact Associate at United Way Monterey County. Courtney then moved on to work at RSF Social Finance as a Consultant from 2017 to 2019. During this time, Courtney also served as a Program Manager at SVT Group, where they were involved in measuring clients' social impact and establishing the link between social value and financial strength.
Most recently, Courtney Kemp has been working as a Senior Client Services Manager at Project Equity since December 2019. Here, they are dedicated to building economic resiliency in low-income communities by developing scalable, worker-owned businesses and catalyzing diverse stakeholders to create local entrepreneurial ecosystems.
Courtney Kemp completed their education at multiple institutions. Courtney attended the Middlebury Institute of International Studies at Monterey from 2015 to 2017, where they earned an MBA in Social Finance and Global Impact Management, as well as an MA in International Policy and Development. Prior to that, they studied at the University of Arizona from 2009 to 2013, majoring in Applied Economics, International Studies, and French. Additionally, Courtney Kemp obtained a certification as a participant in The Kraken Investment Case Study Competition hosted by The Economist in September 2016. Courtney also pursued further studies at the Middlebury Institute of International Studies at Monterey, specializing in Impact Investing and Social Entrepreneurship through the Frontier Market Scouts program, starting in 2017.
