Dereje Asmare

Dereje Asmare joined Project HOPE’s Internal Audit Department in 2021 and now leads as Director of Internal Audit. With extensive experience in international employment, he has in-depth knowledge of Internal Audit, including managing all internal audit functions; analysis of accounting information and business processes to ensure accountability; improvement of business procedures; development of tools and techniques to strengthen risk management and internal controls; providing evaluation of risk management; and enhancing financial and operational controls. He has several years’ experience providing added value by identifying opportunities to improve and drive positive change in governance, risk management, and internal control.
