Paul Lomas

Paul Lomas is an experienced Construction Engineer and Welding and Coating Inspector with a diverse background in quality coordination, procurement, and project management across multiple industries. Currently serving as a Construction Engineer at BlueScope since July 2021, Paul has held various roles including Welding and Coating Inspector at Project Portfolio Management, Surface Civil/Mechanical Construction Coordinator at South32, and Quality Coordinator at Martinus. Paul’s expertise extends to QA/QC inspection, fabrication, and welding, with significant contributions to projects such as the Westgate Tunnel Project and PKCT Restoration. An educator in fabrication and welding with TAFE NSW, Paul possesses an extensive educational background including certifications in welding inspection, project management, and coating inspection. Paul’s career began in the NZ Army, where foundational skills in workshop management and equipment maintenance were developed over a 21-year tenure.
