Chief Executive Officer at Project X

Rick Robinson has worked in the Out-of-Home advertising industry since 1986. Rick began their career as an Account Executive/Business Development for Ackerley/TDI. In 1989, they joined Gannett Outdoor (now OUTFRONT Media) as a Sales/Business Development/Creative, where they developed market positioning plans and delivered sales presentations and marketing materials. In 1997, they became Creative Director/Tall Wall Sales Manager at OUTFRONT Media, where they developed the Tall Wall product on West Hollywood's Sunset Strip and parts of Los Angeles. In 2001, they founded West coast operations for MacDonald Media from scratch with a one person LA office, which grew into 4 West coast offices with a staff of 10 and realized $30MM annual billing. In 2014, they joined Billups as Partner/Chief Strategy Officer, Managing Partner and Partner/Chief Operating Officer, and later as EVP/Chief Strategy Officer. In 2021, they became Chief Creative Officer in Residence at the Out of Home Advertising Association of America, and also became an OOH Thought Leader and Expert in The People's Space. Most recently, in 2022, they became Chief Executive Officer and Chief Strategy Officer at Project X, where they are bringing brands' stories to life in the physical world by using its industry leading technology platform to launch Out-of-Home advertisements.

Rick Robinson attended Tokay High School prior to enrolling at San Joaquin Delta College from 1981-1985, where they earned an Associate of Arts and Sciences (AAS) in Business/Commerce, General. Rick then attended San Francisco State University from 1984-1986, studying Business and Studio Arts.
