Christopher Detzel

Christopher Detzel has a diverse work experience in the health and biologicals field. Christopher is currently the President/CEO of Proliant Health and Biologicals since April 2023, after serving as the Chief Operating Officer from December 2021 to April 2023. Previously, they worked at Entera Health as the General Manager from January 2020 to December 2021. Prior to that, they held various roles at Entera Health and Proliant Biologicals, including Director of Research and Development, Senior Scientist, and Scientist II. From 2011 to 2013, they worked as a Research Scientist/Site Manager at NanoSafe, where their responsibilities included project management and grant writing. Christopher started their career as a Postdoctoral Researcher at Virginia Tech from 2009 to 2011, focusing on hepatocyte phenotypic performance and gold nanoparticles' interaction with liver cells. Christopher also gained experience as a Graduate Intern at Genzyme, conducting research on cartilage repair using different scaffolds and cell cultures from 2006 to 2007.

Christopher Detzel completed their education at various institutions. Christopher obtained a Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering from Washington State University, attending from 2003 to 2009. Prior to that, they received their Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical Engineering from the same university, studying there from 1999 to 2003. Most recently, Christopher pursued an Executive MBA from the Ivy College of Business at Iowa State University, attending from 2019 to 2021.
