Michael Abecasis

Michael Abecasis is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in operations and supply chain management, currently serving as the Gerente de Operaciones at Promedon since May 2021. Michael's responsibilities encompass leading various operational processes, including demand planning, inventory management, customer service, procurement, technical service, logistics, and quality management. Previously, Michael held significant roles at BHP as the Superintendente de Operaciones Logisticas y Bodega, where Michael oversaw logistics operations, and at Antofagasta Minerals as the Jefe Corporativo de Logistica e Ingenieria de Materiales, focusing on demand planning and supply chain logistics. Michael also gained valuable experience in planning and supply chain optimization at Metso and quality management at Sopraval S.A. Educational qualifications include a Magister en Control de Gestión from Pontificia Universidad Católica de Valparaíso and several diplomas in project evaluation, strategic logistics, and commercial management. Michael is also certified in Lean Six Sigma (Green Belt).
