Nuanpan Mongkolpumirat

Nuanpan Mongkolpumirat is an experienced educator currently serving as a Literacy and Social Studies teacher at Promesa Academy Charter School since February 2023, with additional responsibilities as an interventionist providing small group support. Previously, Nuanpan worked at The Gathering Place from June 2021 to February 2023, where project-based learning lessons were created, showcases were organized, a substitute academy was led, and the Action Staff Award was received in 2022. Nuanpan's teaching career also includes recognition as Teacher of the Year for the 2017-2018 school year at San Antonio ISD and leadership roles during an AmeriCorps membership with Teach For America and City Year, focusing on at-risk students. Nuanpan began the path in education with volunteer work at the Blanton Museum of Art, and completed a Bachelor's Degree in Anthropology at The University of Texas at Austin in 2014.
