Rudy Escalante

Rudy Escalante has a diverse and extensive work experience spanning several positions and companies. Rudy started their career as a Police Lieutenant at the Santa Cruz Police Department in 1985 and served in that role until 2009. From 2009 to 2012, they worked as the Deputy Chief of Police at the Watsonville Police Department. Rudy then joined the City of Capitola, California, where they served as the Chief of Police from 2012 to 2016. In 2016, they became the Owner/Consultant at Vista 500 Consulting, LLC. From 2017 to 2021, they held various roles at Janus of Santa Cruz, including Chief Executive Officer and Retired CEO and Chief of Police. Most recently, they were appointed as the Director of Safety and Security at Prometheus in December 2020.

Rudy Escalante's education history includes a Master of Public Administration (MPA) degree in Public Administration from San Jose State University, which they obtained from 1984 to 2007. Rudy returned to San Jose State University in 2005 and completed another MPA degree in Public Administration from 2005 to 2008.
