Aman Gill

Aman Gill has a diverse work experience in the field of computational biology, bioinformatics, and microbiome research. They currently hold the position of Associate Director of Computational Biology at Proof Diagnostics, Inc. since October 2021. Prior to that, they worked as a Bioinformatics Staff Scientist at Twist Bioscience from February 2021 to August 2021. They also have experience as a Bioinformatics Scientist at Assembly Biosciences, Inc. from October 2019 to February 2021.

Before transitioning into industry, Aman Gill gained research experience as a Postdoctoral Scientist at the University of California, Berkeley from July 2016 to November 2019. They also served as a Visiting Professor at Pratt Institute, where they taught classes and conducted research on soil microbiomes in urban built environments, including Green Infrastructure, from an unspecified start date to June 2016.

Aman Gill obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Integrative Biology and History from the University of California, Berkeley in 2003. Later on, they pursued a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Ecology and Evolution at Stony Brook University, completing the program in 2014.
