Sibongiseni Msomi has a diverse work experience in the field of website administration and software development. They started their career in 2010 as a website assistant at the University of KwaZulu-Natal, where they were responsible for migrating website content, ensuring valid links, and removing outdated information. In 2011, they served as a tutor at the Durban University of Technology. From 2011 to 2023, they worked at the University of KwaZulu-Natal as a website administrator, managing various tasks such as updating web pages, sourcing research articles, and maintaining the accuracy of website content. They also served as a website manager's assistant for a brief period in 2011, where they migrated contents to a new website and validated links. In 2012, they worked as a System Support Trainee at Eskom. Most recently, starting in 2023, they joined Propay (Pty) Ltd as a software developer.
