Karah Fequiere began their career in 2017 as a Fashion Design Intern at Maggie Norris Couture Ltd. In this role, they supported marketing managers with event preparation and execution, undertook daily administrative tasks, and learned about all the couture pieces in order to educate and inform customers. In 2018, Karah held two roles simultaneously: Administrative Assistant at the Haitian American Museum of Chicago-HAMOC and Marketing & Communications Intern at LimeRed. As an Administrative Assistant, Karah scheduled meetings, interviews and events, assisted office members with documentation and managing inventory of assets and supplies, and carried out daily administrative tasks. As a Marketing & Communications Intern, they managed social media, wrote blog posts, and helped design custom newsletters. In 2019, Karah joined Proper Cloth as a Customer Experience Associate. In this role, they conducted comprehensive and meticulous fittings to create a client's custom shirt size or fine-tune the fit of a shirt already purchased, cultivated relationships with customers by offering fit, fabric, and style advice, and helped the company improve design options offered by tracking trends in customer inquiries and bringing them to the attention of the tech, marketing, and product teams.
Karah Fequiere attended Columbia College Chicago from 2015 to 2019, where they earned a BA in Fashion with a focus in Fashion/Apparel Design.
