Nathan Buchbinder is the current Chief Product Officer at Proscia. Nathan has held this position for 8 years and 4 months, and they are also a co-founder of the company. Prior to their work at Proscia, Buchbinder was a team member/co-inventor on the design team for The Cooling Cure, a neonate therapeutic hypothermia device for the treatment of asphyxia in newborns in the developing world. Nathan was also a leader on the Biliary and Pulmonary Brush Biopsy team, which was focused on improving cell collection from the biliary and pulmonary tracts in order to improve cancer detection and diagnostics in adult patients. In addition, Buchbinder was a team leader on the Sleep Apnea Monitor Development team, which was responsible for developing a low-cost monitor of sleep apnea in neonates. Buchbinder began their career as an intern at Giza Venture Capital, followed by internships at Johns Hopkins Hospital and Columbia University.
Nathan Buchbinder has a Bachelor of Science in Biomedical/Medical Engineering from The Johns Hopkins University (2011-2015) and a Master’s Degree in Biomedical Innovation and Development from the Georgia Institute of Technology (2015-2016). Nathan also attended Biotechnology High School from 2007-2011 where they were involved in Science League, Academic Team, National Honors Society, and Technology Students Association.
