Gali has a wealth of experience in the field, having worked as a teaching assistant, PhD research student, and scientific advisor in the past. In their current role, they apply cutting edge proteomic technologies to empower drug discovery.
Arad’s journey in the field of biology began when they were a teaching assistant at Tel Aviv University, where they taught medical students the basics of genetics and molecular biology. Gali then went on to lead the departmental team of teaching assistants.
Arad’s PhD research focused on using mass spectrometry-based proteomics and proteogenomics to study cancer heterogeneity in breast cancer and glioblastoma. This work was conducted under the supervision of Prof. Tamar Geiger. During their time as a PhD student, Arad also gained experience in performing full stack proteomics projects from sample collection to data analysis and biological insights.
After completing their PhD, Arad took on the role of scientific advisor at The Ramon Foundation. In this role, they provided scientific support to teenagers planning experiments as part of the SpaceLab educational program.
Arad then transitioned into the industry, taking on the role of technical support engineer at Office of the Prime Minister of Israel.
