Raja Chakarvorty

Raja Chakarvorty is an experienced data science professional currently serving as Chief Data Scientist at Protective Life since August 2017. Previously, Raja held the position of AVP Data Science at The Hanover Insurance Group from November 2013 to August 2017, overseeing personal lines research and development. Prior roles at Travelers included Manager, Analytics & Research, and Senior Consultant in the Analytics & Research team from February 2008 to November 2013. Raja began an academic career as an Instructor and Course Developer at the Institute of Management Studies. Educationally, Raja earned a PhD in Physics from the University of Notre Dame, an MS in Physics from the Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay, and a BS in Physics from Banaras Hindu University, complemented by a High School Diploma from St. John's (DLW).
