Tomas Babej

Tomas Babej is a cofounder and Chief Technology Officer at ProteinQure, where the focus is on building a computational platform for the design of protein therapeutics. Tomas has experience as an entrepreneur in training at the Creative Destruction Lab, where the company emerged as the top of the cohort in a leading accelerator program for deep-science startups. Prior roles include software and machine learning engineering at the European Space Agency, specifically on a project for automated detection of celestial objects, and as a machine learning developer at Masaryk University, where Tomas developed a framework for identifying user actions in mobile applications. Earlier in the career, Tomas worked as a software engineer at Red Hat and as a software QA engineer at Home Credit, contributing to various projects in identity systems and automated testing tools. Educational qualifications include multiple master's degrees in Theoretical Computer Science and Security of Information Technologies, as well as a bachelor's degree in Mathematical Computer Science from Masaryk University.
