Rob Hutter

Mr. Hutter is a Managing Director for Proterra Investment Partners where he helps direct Proterra’s agriculture investment activities in Latin America.

Prior to Proterra, Mr. Hutter worked as a Managing Director for Black River Asset Management, a division of Cargill, where he focused on agriculture investments. Prior to Black River, Mr. Hutter worked for Cargill, where he served in various functions, including production, sales and marketing, trading and management of multi-business unit joint ventures and partnerships with non-Cargill entities. Mr. Hutter also has experience in three different Cargill units, Excel, Sugar, and Corn milling in multiple locations including Mexico City.

Mr. Hutter holds a bachelor’s degree in Economics from Washington and Lee University. He speaks English, Spanish and German.
